Most women know how to apply makeup for everyday use but there are a few differences in applying makeup for photos; especially glamour. If you follow the tips below, you will be on your way to better pictures.
The key is to simply fix your face as if you were going out for the evening, wearing more than for daytime use, extra contrast andespecially more powder. Did I mention More Powder?
To achieve that natural look in your portrait, apply a little more than you would in your daily activities and even more than you would if you were going out for the evening. You will probably think you that you are wearing too much but remember that the lights take away from whatever amount of makeup you have on so don't worry. How do you achieve this look? Follow the simple steps listed here and, with a little practice, you should be able to get the results you're after.
Photographing great moments between the bride and groom on their wedding day takes some preparation on the part of the wedding photographer as well as the chemistry that both the photographer and the bride & groom share. One sure way to build that rapport and get a sense of how the photographer likes to work and the comfort level of the couple is through the engagement photo session.
I personally like to spend the few hours with the couple on an engagement shoot, getting to know them as a couple and how they interact with each other and in public. Plus, they get the opportunity to work with me and see what I like as far as my style and how I prefer to direct them in a situation rather than pose them. I actually create a life situation and basically direct them giving them scenarios. I let the couple interpret what it means based on their own experience and viola, the magic moment is captured on film…ahem…I mean digital.
Below, are some tips for couples when it comes to selecting a wedding photographer and when it comes to taking the engagement session:
It’s a common misconception that naturally beautiful models take naturally beautiful photographs. The truth is—without modeling poses and modeling tips, perfect photographs are harder than you think.
If you are a professional model, a photographer will most likely guide you through a variety of model poses throughout the photo shoot. But if you are an inspiring model and are still working your way up to the top—you may have to control your poses to ensure great headshots and sample modeling photographs.
Live show models, promo models, photographic models, and runway models all rely on professional model poses to succeed. Whether you aspire to appear in print magazines or fashion shows and Hollywood movies; if you want to be a model, pay special attention to this insider guide to modeling poses.
Being a photographer who captures weddings as part of my specialty, I have worked with many brides over the years. There are certain things I do to get myself prepared for every wedding, like check my equipment, charge camera batteries, and get plenty of rest the night before the big day; but, what about the bride? What does she do to prepare herself for the most important photos of her life?
Below is a list of things I think would help a bride prepare for her wedding day photos. I think if a bride and groom followed these simple ideas, they would greatly improve their wedding photos.
