Chad Payne's photography combines technical proficiency, patience, intuition, and his unique artistic sensibilities.
Whether it's a new product about to hit the market, a high fashion shoot for a national magazine, a head-shot for an aspiring actor or corperate identity, a child's inquisitive expression, a couple sharing a tender moment, an evening at an A-list nightclub or an outraged protester stalking the streets of Chicago, I go about my chosen passion and profession with an eye for the moment and a heart for beauty.
About me:
I am primarily a documentary photographer and I aim to capture the human condition in all it's glorious colors. I began my photographic journey when I assisted a well-known photographer for a catalog shoot for a women's clothing store I owned at the time. I was fascinated at his expertise with lighting and capturing the essence of not only the fashion but the beauty of the models we were working with. Not long after that, I bought my first camera, a used AE-1 35mm film body and never looked back.
Generally I work with models, actors, interesting people with a wide range of different profiles and characters create documentary, portraiture and commercial images. I aim to create stories in my work, focusing on both emotions and the natural look of the subjects and integrate both into my work.
